SPIDER MIKE KING

As a true son of the inner city Spider Mike King has been an integral and
influential part of the Manchester music scene for nearly six decades.
Original singer, songwriter and guitarist, Spider Mike has performed
all over the UK and Europe both as a solo artist and in various incarnations
of his own bands.

After a impromptu meeting in the late 60s with Jimi Hendrix in the
Northern UK town of Stockport Spider Mike was inspired to start his
first group with the legendary producer Martin Hannett on bass and
Paul Burgess on drums.

Spider Mike King has never stopped writing and performing and his notable released
recordings include ‘Animal’, ‘The Blood River Sessions’ ‘Grapes of Wrath’, ‘CIA’,
‘Do What ya Diddy’, to name but a few.

His latest much anticipated recording titled ‘Hollow Man’ will be released on 19th of August 2020

Check out Spider Mike King. You’ll find it worth your while and good for your musical soul !

With its Beefheart-esque rock/blues vibe. ‘Hollow Man’ is a visceral comment on the abuse of power and corporate greed. Spider Mike weaves a tapestry of musical and lyrical wonder that, when combined with Colin O’Toole’s dystopian imagery, impacts with a resonance that relates to these troubling times and appeals to the sense of empathy and care that we should all have for each other. It will be available for audio/visual streaming on August 10th -2020
